On October 6, American celebrity fashion designer Loris Diran displayed his new collection at the Center of National Arts as part of the ongoing Style.Uz Art Week. The dapper designs included short and floor-length dresses, skirts, blouses and, of course, men’s suits and shoes that would definitely tickle the fancy of Ricky Martin, Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Liev Schreiber.

On the third day of Style.Uz 2012 the Tashkent House of Photography welcomed the public to attend exhibitions “Mt. Fuji, The Sacred Mountain”, a collection of photos by remarkable photographer Koyo Okada, and “Mt. Fuji, The Mysterious Mountain”, a collection of photos by talented photographer Shiro Shirahata. The 94 black-and-white photos by the two Japanese professionals celebrate the magnificence of Fuji, the tallest mountain in Japan and one of the world’s most beautiful.

On October 6, the Ikuo Hirayama International Caravanserai of Culture hosted an Uzbek-Japanese Conference titled “Preservation of the Cultural Heritage of Silk Road Countries” as part of Style.Uz Art Week 2012.
