Educational Grants Program

Within the framework of Educational Grants Program young people entered to the universities on contract basis have an opportunity to pay their tuition fees with the Fund’s grant. Since 2005 almost 300 gifted students have become winners of the Program, for the best of them the payment of the tuition has been annually prolonged. Total sum of grant payments for 4 years comes to 200 million soums.

Program of Scholarships for the Gifted Students

The Program of Scholarships for the Gifted Students is directed to encourage and support talented and active young people studying at 3 and 4 courses. The most active students get prolongation of scholarships. Since 2006, more than 100 students annually pass the contest for the Program. Total sum of grant payments for 4 years comes to 64 million soums.

Sport Grants Program

Sport Grants Program is directed to encourage and support talented and active young sportsmen. Within the framework of the project «The Champions’ Forum» young perspective sportsmen have been allocated grants since April 2007. During the 2007-2008 170 sports grants were allocated for total amount more than 50 mln sums.

Pedagogical Grants Program

Since 2006 Pedagogical Grants Program have been organized. Within the framework of the project monetary encouragements are given to teachers and scientific employees, and also grants are allocated for realization of innovative projects in the education field. In January, 2007 the first nominees of those grants became 49 teachers and scientists from all regions of the country who received almost 20 million soums. In 2008, 50 grants for 40 million sum in total were allocated.

Traditional Crafts Development Grants

Within the Bazar-Art exhibition-fair the “Mekhr Nuri” Foundation presented grants totaling 12 mln.sums to craftsmen, who became laureates of the exhibition. The grants were aimed at the further development of the handicrafts, revival of disappearing types of applied arts and traditional forms of arts in Uzbekistan.
